An exhibition of students and graduate illustrators will be on show this week (Dec. 9-13) at Tehran University’s main campus, according to a translated report by the FT originally from Roozrang website.
Tehran University’s College of Fine Arts is one of the most established art faculties in the country and is home to some of the best up and coming artists in the country. The college started its activities in November 1939 under the name of “Honarkadeh” [Art School]. The primary focus was on the three fields of Architecture, Painting, and Sculpture. Now, 70 years after its establishment, it has a special stature in the eyes of Iranians, particularly in the areas of Art, Architecture and Urban Planning.
The event organised by the University of Tehran Illustration Society will showcase the artwork of Iran’s most promising emerging illustrators from 1993 onwards, the report adds. In addition to seeing the works of past masters and emerging talent, a special series of workshops are planned for the sidelines of the exhibition, it adds people with children are also welcome to attend.
To access the exhibition, you should enter the complex via Qods Street just off Enqalab Road. Best of all, we couldn’t find information about a ticket price for the event so it is free to see!
