Graphic design exhibition opens at Artists Forum in Tehran

Iranians young graphic designers battle it out!

Iran’s graphic design history has a long and vibrant history, many great names have bestowed their creativity on the creation of the genre in the country.

Knowing this fact, you definitely should visit the Fifth Silver Cypress Exhibition at the Iranian Artists Forum in central Tehran on December 22 – January 2, Mehr News Agency reports.

The event held in cooperation with the Iranian Graphic Designers Society will display more than 500 works from than a dozen of local creatives.

What do the experts say?

In a press conference held at the forum on earlier this week, the director of the IGDS, Mostafa Asadollahi, called graphic design the most potent creative medium in modern life.

“We aim to teach graphic design to people through this exhibition,” he told journalists attending the event.

Following the event, a panel of senior graphic designers will judge the best works for a showcase at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art on January 5.

Best of all, the exhibition is entirely free to enter. Why not stop and have a coffee, lunch or dinner at the large park. We recommend the roof restaurant on the building which serves delicious steak!
