Northern Kurdish Kurmanji Concert at Vahdat Hall
An event is coming next week with Kurdish Kurmanji musicians playing Vahdat Hall in their native language on March 6, Financial Tribune reported this week.
Kurmanji as the language is called, is spoken in the northeast of Iran as well as in southern Turkey and Northwestern Iraq. The language is part of a family of Kurdish languages spoken in the mountainous area straddling three countries.
Mohsen Mirzadeh, one of the few Iranian musicians who sing in the regional language will take centre stage backed by a troop of musicians from the western Iranian region.
