Tehran Metro To Offer Free Service On 22 Bahman

Tehran Metro Company will provide free service to passengers on Monday, February 11 on the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Republic.

According to local media, service in all 5 lines of the Tehran Metro will be free of charge throughout the day. This is while the time between each train will be reduced to provide better service.

Farnoosh Nobakht, the managing director of Tehran Metro, said Tehrani passengers can use all lines of the subway on February 11 for free. She added that after the end of the 22 Bahman ceremony, passengers travelling from metro stations that are located near the march venue can again use the metro for free.

This is while the Azadi station on Line 4 will be closed throughout the day for security and order just like previous years.
