A fire at an oil storage facility in Tehran’s Shahran district that erupted following an Israeli regime attack has been completely contained, Iranian authorities confirmed on June 15.
An informed source announced to Shahr News Agency that the blaze had been fully extinguished and emergency crews were conducting cleanup operations at the site.
The official added that the affected storage tanks did not contain petrol, with their contents primarily consisting of white oil products.
“Within the first one to two hours, the fire was completely brought under control,” the source confirmed.
The fire occurred following Israeli strikes on Iranian territory as part of escalating military exchanges between the two countries.
Iran remains on high alert as Israel jets continue to hit areas of the city.
