Chess, that ancient game which has been played in Iranian culture for millennia is the name of one park in Tehran.
Located at the back of Tehran where the Alborz mountains buttress the city’s ever-growing fabric, it is one of the few places around the city which offer some solace from the hustle and bustle.
As the name suggests, Chess Park is a place to test your mental stamina against several young and old players of the wonderful game. Also, if you are interested to have a bite to eat or a tea and coffee, there is a wonderful little cafe at the top of the park.
