The Banks Coordination Council announced operating procedures for Tehran bank branches for the upcoming week (June 21-26), according to Tasnim news agency on June 19.
Based on coordination arrangements, 30% of member bank branches of the Banks Coordination Council in Tehran will operate next week (June 21-26), with branch names to be announced on each bank’s information website.
These branches, along with headquarters support units, will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM to provide essential customer services.
Bank branch operations on Thursday will follow previous procedures on a shift basis.
Bank operations in other provinces will be determined by respective provincial governors.
The council expects customers to use non-attendance and online banking services wherever possible.
The reduced operating capacity affects only Tehran branches, with other provinces maintaining separate arrangements based on local decisions.
Banking services will focus on essential customer needs during the limited operating hours.
The announcement follows current security conditions affecting the capital’s banking sector operations.
Online and digital banking services remain available as alternatives to branch visits during the reduced capacity period.
The 30% operational level represents a significant reduction from normal banking operations in Tehran.
