The Wisteria Hotel opened in 2016 on Ahmadi Zamani Street in the north of the city, near Tajrish, and is one of the newer generation of private five-star hotels in Tehran. It is smaller than the old state-run giants, with somewhere between 91 and 110 rooms and suites depending on the listing.
There is a pool, a spa and gym, restaurants and cafés, banquet halls, free parking and an airport transfer service.
The north is cooler in summer and close to Tajrish bazaar, the Imamzadeh Saleh shrine and the walking trails at Darband, which makes the Wisteria a good choice for a slower visit. It is, however, a long way from downtown, and getting to the bazaar means a trip on metro Line 1 from Tajrish or a long taxi ride.
The hotel's old website is no longer active, so book through an established platform or contact the hotel by phone.
