The Ritz Hotel is a new 60-room property on Valiasr Street in Shahamati, in north-central Tehran, which took its first guests around the end of 2023. It has no connection to the international Ritz-Carlton brand.

Rooms have a safe and a minibar, and the restaurant on the eighth floor has views over the city. The hotel has also been building a sports complex with a jacuzzi, a Turkish bath and a gym, so ask whether it is open before you book.

Upper Valiasr is one of the most pleasant parts of the city, with plane trees, cafés and easy access to the north. The hotel is listed on Iranian booking sites including Alibaba, Flytoday, Snapptrip and Safarmarket.

The Ritz Hotel in Tehran is still new and has few reviews in English, but its position on upper Valiasr Street is hard to fault. Tajrish, Darband and the cafés of the north are a short ride away, and Valiasr is good for walking in the evening. Check the latest guest reviews on Tripadvisor before you book. The hotel is not connected to any international chain.
