The Persian Plaza Hotel is a 100-room property on Mirza-ye Zeinali Sharghi Street, off North Sohrevardi Street in the central-east of the city. It markets itself as a five-star, though some international listings class it as four-star.

Its wellness floor is one of the more complete in Tehran, with an indoor pool, a spa, a sauna, a steam room and a hammam alongside the gym. There is a restaurant, a banquet hall, a kids' club and a currency exchange that is open around the clock, which is a genuine convenience for foreign guests. Airport transfers are free.

Sohrevardi is a busy commercial district rather than a tourist one, but it is central enough to reach most parts of the city quickly by Snapp. Rooms can be booked on Trip.com and the Iranian site Snapptrip.

The Persian Plaza Hotel works well for visitors who want a central base with good facilities at a lower price than the big five-stars. Families will appreciate the kids’ club and the free airport transfer, which saves a long negotiation with taxi drivers at Imam Khomeini Airport. Recent guest reviews are on Tripadvisor.
