The Tehran Royal Hotel is a newer four-star property at No. 124 Keshavarz Boulevard, next to Valiasr Square and right beside the much larger Espinas International. It had opened by early 2024.

It has 72 rooms, a restaurant and coffee shop, meeting rooms and a business centre, and breakfast is included. Unusually for Tehran it offers valet parking and an electric-car charger, and it can arrange airport transfers.

Its location is the main appeal: central, close to Laleh Park and a short walk from Valiasr Square metro station on Line 3. It is listed on Trip.com, and guests have also booked through the hotel's Instagram account.

Paying: Foreign bank cards do not work in Iran, so bring enough euros or dollars in cash and change them at an exchange office or the hotel desk. Prices on Iranian booking sites are in rials or tomans and may differ from the rate a hotel quotes to foreign guests, so confirm the price in writing before you arrive.

The Tehran Royal Hotel is a good alternative to its bigger neighbour for visitors who want the same central location in a smaller, newer building. Keshavarz Boulevard has cafés and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk, and Laleh Park is close by for an evening stroll. Recent guest reviews are on Tripadvisor. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
