Many visitors still know this hotel as the Espinas Persian Gulf. It now trades as the Espinas International Hotel, a 300-room five-star on Keshavarz Boulevard, a few steps from Valiasr Square and right in the centre of the city.
Its central position is its biggest advantage over its sister hotel in Saadat Abad. Keshavarz Boulevard is a leafy avenue lined with offices, clinics and embassies, Laleh Park is a short walk west, and Valiasr Square station on metro Line 3 puts the bazaar and the north of the city within easy reach without sitting in traffic.
Inside there is an indoor heated pool, a spa, a sauna and a gym, the Mandak restaurant, the Atrium Café, the Samurai Lounge and the Sky Lounge Boulevard on the roof. Meeting halls named Pasargad, Persian Gulf and Apadana host a steady run of conferences. The hotel can arrange airport transfers, car hire and currency exchange.
Bookings are taken directly through the Espinas website and on Trip.com. Do not confuse it with the smaller Tehran Royal Hotel next door at No. 124.
