Exploring Our Inner Universe: Human Park in Tehran
Tehran has a new place to add to its growing list of attractions for children and adults. Situated in the Darabad Museum site in the very north of Tehran, the new Human Park explores the body on a life-size scale. Human Park is the first museum in Tehran dedicated to teaching both kids and parents about the human body and all its working parts.
According to a press release in Persian, the Human Park is the first of its kind in Iran while taking a cue from a museum in the Netherlands. Fully immersive with dimensions to take your breath away, the human body museum explores several body parts including the mouth, eyes, heart and lungs.
The project has been built in conjunction with the Tehran Municipality and private funders. The site is spread over more than 2,000 square meters. The project took 15 months to build and is now the largest museum of its kind in Asia.
Also, children and adults can have their blood pressure checked by a trained nurse on site, to teach people about their personal health.
There are several games and activities occurring at the Human Park so be sure to be ready to have some fun. Best yet, according to one local video some of the staff are fluent in English to accommodate international visitors.
