Tehran metro suspends airport line following Mehrabad closure
Tehran Metro Operating Company announced the suspension of metro services to Mehrabad Airport following the facility’s temporary closure on June 15.
Services to Terminal One, Terminal Two, Terminal Four and Terminal Six at Mehrabad Airport have been temporarily halted, the company confirmed.
Metro operations will resume once the airport reopens, according to the announcement.
The two-kilometre Mehrabad Airport branch connects Line Four of Tehran Metro from Bimeh Station, located on Shahid Lashkari Highway after the airport junction, to the airport terminals.
The closure affects one of Tehran’s primary transportation links to the city’s domestic airport hub.
